Mt. Lavinia Hotel does an excellent take on classic high tea. The price is very reasonable, the terrace setting is beautiful and pretty much every element was delicious.

Cinnamon grand, being the social hub that it is, has become one of the more frequented high tea spots in Colombo. Their spread is decent at best, but the fact that’s it’s a buffet adds value.

Achcharu Kade Cafe graduated from the Good Market to their own shop in Colpetty, but now they’re shutting it down. But don’t worry, they’re still doing Good Market Saturdays and lunch and dinner delivery and take-away. So you can still eat the food, there just won’t be a permanent shop.

The English Cake Company has one of the best high teas in town – it’s cheap, generous and you even get to customize your savouries and cakes.
