This Friday the movie DAS KANNINCHEN BIN ICH (THE RABBIT IS ME) is showing. The movie was made in 1965 to encourage discussion of democratization of East German society. It was quickly banned by officials as an attack on the state. In it, a young student has an affair with a hypocritical judge who had once sentenced her brother for his political activities; she eventually confronts him with his opportunism and contribution to injustice. Entrance is free of charge.
The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka presents Engendering Yahapalanaya, a film and literary festival aimed at highlighting that gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights are also good governance issues. The festival is from 17th to the 19th of February 2017 followed by several 'mini-festivals' which will take place across the country in the subsequent weeks.

Meet talented desingers at the PR Deseigners Market At Colombo Jazz Festival. The PR Designers Market will be up at the Colombo Jazz Festival 2017. Featuring a range of designers who retail at PR and more; expect a collection of clothing and fashion accessories for ladies and gentlemen.
The much awaited Colombo Jazz Festival 2017 is in town from 18 – 19 February at the Galle Face Hotel. Entrance is by tickets priced at Rs. 8000 (weekend pass) and Rs. 5000 (day pass). Performances include:

Enjoy artistic fashion when the British School in Colombo presents 'Dali and Frida'. The designs are influenced by world famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Gustav Klimt! The show is at The British School in Colombo.

A beginner level introduction to wine for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine. Course is presented by Joseph Kenny, WSET Certified Educator.
