YAMU was happy to work with JWT and anything.lk on the One Plate Project. As you can see above, this saw Sri Lankans exchanging food across cultures to promote unity.
One thing that binds Sri Lankans is that we all love food. The One Plate Project seeks to extend that online by enabling people to give a plate of, well, here’s from the press release:
The plate of food is available in a Sinhala, Tamil, Burger and Muslim menu and can be purchased with a small sum of Rs 500 through the anything.lk website. The variety of food, ranges depending on the plate you wish to share. From kevili such as aasme, kokis to palahaaram such as jelebi, rabaa laddus to breudher to watalappam. Once you purchase a plate, it is then gifted to someone outside your community and you too receive a place from community outside your own.
The first round just concluded and we’re thinking of adding more variety of foods for the next.
