The One Plate Project is a collabo between YAMU and JWT to promoting caring through sharing. You gift a plate of food to one random family/person and get one in return. The catch is that the plate of food is tied to an ethnicity (Sinhala, Tamil, Burgher, Muslim), so we’re trying to encourage bridging ethnic divides through food. Which people do anyways. The difference is that now, thanks to support from Anything.lk, we’re doing it online.
You can order a plate here. It includes a rice and curry meal from one of the major ethnic food groups, and a One Plate plate, which may be a collectors item. Costs Rs. 500.
