Well, another Friday and did you see the forecast? Rainy weather abound – hey at least it's not scorching hot!
But there's no need to be in the gloom, silver linings and what not you know, because we are here with another list of good places that you can check out this weekend.
Sahal
Fancy hitting up a fine dining resto this weekend? Sahal is a new venture from none other than the Sen-Saal, on the premises where Kaema Sutra once was. Their menu is broad, encompassing an authentic Sri Lankan touch with inspiration taken from dishes from around the island. Everything from the polite service, clean and classic ambience to the clever concoction of flavours, we loved our experience here.
Items such as Uluhal Curry, Balapitiye Maalu Olu Curry were highlights of our meal here, while Kithul Thalapa nailed the dessert section and if you are into getting something strong, they have a list of drinks with fun names too, like Saima Cut Wela for instance.
Epi-Q Express Gourmet
The newest addition to the cafe list in Thimbirigasyaya is Epi-Q, that is located right opposite Java Lounge. The ambience is inviting, comfy while the welcoming and efficient service is the cherry on top.
Their Peppered Beef Pizza is packed with flavour and loaded up with cheese and pairing it with their fizzy, delicious Passion Mojito is sure to give a boost to your mood.
Holybelly
While they are not a new name to foodies on Insta, they have a new spot in Thalwathugoda, right in front of Austasia. The place does have a good weird kind of homey vibe to it and the nice kitty at the premises was a highlight too.
Their Immunity Kick was a delicious drink with a blend of carrot, orange and apple flavours, and the Chilli and Lime Prawns dish we tried was superb too!
The Cloud Kitchen by CHM
If you're not up to going out and grabbing something to eat, try The Cloud Kitchen. It is an aptly named cloud kitchen, which is managed by COi by Vichalya.
Their Chicken Rice & Curry hit all the right spots with the seasoning. Our favourite was the beef curry.
Sri Vihar (Nugegoda)
Sri Vihar has a new outlet in Nugegoda, that serves up their well known, vegetarian, South Indian flavours. The place is welcoming and the service was good.
If you decide to pair their garlicky, soft, buttery, Garlic Naan with the thick and seasoned up Paneer Butter Masala, you are in for a treat.
That's it for this week folks, check back with us next week too and hope you have a good one.
