Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights. It celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and so on.
The celebrations usually go on for days, and the festival night typically falls between mid October and mid November. The festival also celebrates Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, so people make note by buying and selling things during this auspicious time, and celebrating with plenty of sweets and home visits.
We’ve come up with a list of places for you to get your sweets from this Diwali, be it jalebi, barfi or kulfi. Tell us if you know of any good spots too.
