Hot Butter Cuttlefish is a Lankan staple and goes well with a side of fried rice. It's quite easy to make too, if you've got some cuttlefish, butter, spring onions, capsicum, garlic, dried chillies, spices, and flour (to make the batter, preferably tempura).
Isso Wade
We Lankans can write an ode to isso wade; because it's a way of life for us. Isso wade portrays a cross-section of our street food culture, and frankly, most of us go to Galle Face Green just to eat isso wade, more than anything else. One wade vendor based in Dehiwala was kind enough to share his take on this beloved streetside snack with us, along with that spicy paste that they put to make it taste more glorious.
