Well, we're a little late on the feature but hey, there's no time like the present! YAMU finally has a section to feature menus, and it's not the annoying list of items that we used to have back then when we did food delivery. It's all picture-based now, and quite easy to surf through too.
Where?
The menus can be found on the review pages.
If we've added the menu of a certain restaurant/establishment, the review page will display the "View Menu" button on top, right next to "Add My Review" button.
As I mentioned previously, menus are added as images, which will appear in their tiny form, but you can click on it for a zoomed-in view.
You can use the arrowheads to navigate through the menu.
At the moment, we have only a few menus on the site, but are working on uploading more as the time progresses.
Why?
For convenience, really. As we conduct our reviews anonymously without any prior notice, we always do a bit of online research before stepping into the restaurant/ordering from a restaurant. And that involves a part of looking for the menu of the restaurant, like any usual customer.
We have a monthly and weekly budget to stick to, and therefore, it's essential for us to find out whether it's affordable, based on the review cash we've got in hand. Plus, it does let us have a sneak peek at the dishes, or gives an idea about the speciality of the restaurant, at least to some extent.
Hence, we highly believe that this feature will come in handy when it comes to deciding where you want to dine next.
