O:Live Couture is a Colombo tailor that does everything from custom suits, to sarees to casual wear. They’ve kept their operation relatively low-key, but their stuff is right up there with the best Colombo has to offer at fairly reasonable prices.
The Stuff
We recently published our guide to suiting up in Colombo with a few of our recommended tailors, and we actually were’t aware of O:Live at the time, but we go a ton of comments recommending them. So we dropped in at their studio the next day and we could see what everyone was talking about.
Like we mentioned earlier, this is a relatively small operation and that’s actually a good thing more often than not here in Colombo since it usually means better. Sammani, the owner of O:Live (but its pronounced Olive), was really friendly and took the time to tell us about everything they do.

Their suits seem to be their main draw, and for good reason. O:Live lands right in the mid point in terms of pricing compared to the likes of KIITO and Hameedia. They offer both fused and canvassed suits, the latter of which is quite rare here in Colombo.
What’s great, however, is that their canvassed suits start at around Rs. 35,000 with 100% wool fabric which is honestly a great price. They’re also quite flexible with time, so even if it’s urgent, they’ll likely be able to accommodate the request. We really appreciate is the fact that they keep their suits clean and simple without going overboard with the styles, sticking to the classic cuts.
O:Live also specializes in men’s shirts, for which they offer complete customizability. So you can choose the fabric, colour, overall fit, and collar style.
A couple of weeks ago I found myself looking for a simple white pocket square, which I assumed would be simple to find, but apparently not. None of the other tailors had white pocket squares so I thought I’d try my luck with O:Live, and they actually stitched one for me in like two hours, which is awesome. Besides that, they even do their own ties so you don’t need to settle for ones with infuriating styles.
For the ladies, they offer both dresses and formal wear as well as sarees and wedding dresses which understandably require a longer time. They didn’t have too many of the ladies stuff at the studio when we dropped in, because they prefer to do bespoke stuff, and most of their off-the-rack stuff was sold out, but we found the red jumpsuit above particularly attractive.
Conclusion
O:Live Couture barely does any marketing or publicity, but they’ve got some big names endorsing their stuff. They offer customizability, high quality and reasonable prices which is exactly what we look for in a good tailor.
