Life's Good Kitchen is a testament to how life gets better when there's good food. Taking over the cafe premises at Good Market where Kumbuk Kitchen used to stand, they prepare some blissful treats that mostly lean towards the healthy aspect of things.
Food & Drinks
We started off with a side of Crudité (Rs. 580); a serving of hummus offered with sliced up raw veggies.
Featuring a splash of olive oil and dusted with paprika, the hummus had the creamiest texture and the presence of chickpeas was on point.
The assortment of veggies included carrots, zucchini and tomato. A simple, yet delightful way to kickstart a meal.
Life's Good Kitchen does all-day breakfast, and we opted for the Granola Power Bowl (Rs. 690). Comprised of high-quality peanut butter, oats, dates, almonds, coconut, raisin, banana, pineapple and yoghurt, it was a sweet and tangy treat with a bit of crunch. Every bite of this is bound to make you feel healthy in the most delicious way. Mix it like a harvest bowl for a better flavour.
Life's Good Kitchen has done a wonderful job in crafting up this amazing Chicken Burger (Rs. 890). Tucked in between a sesame kurakkan bun, there was a bed of lettuce, piled high with pickled cabbage salad, sliced up tomato, a slice of cheese, and a chicken patty.
The patty was incredible. Slightly crispy and firm from the outside, it was juicy, soft and absolutely meaty on the in, and had just the right amount of seasoning. The veggies added a refreshing crunch and a lot of moisture to the mix, along with a little tang while the bun was of excellent quality. We kept oohing and aahing to each other the whole time we ate this.
To gulp everything down, we got a Passion fruit Iced Tea (Rs. 300). The tea counterpart can be certainly improved here, but as a passion fruit-based drink, it was a delight. Refreshingly sweet and sour, the flavour here was intensified by the fleshy bits of passion fruit swimming about.
Ambience & Service
In terms of ambience, they've arranged wooden furniture setup, shaded with a canopy, and surrounded with a few potted plants around. You can dine in here without having to worry about the heat as they've got a few fans cooling down the place.
The service was exceptional. It's run by a very nice couple who seems to be quite enthusiastic about what they do. Friendly, helpful and full of smiles, they were happy to hear any feedback we may have.
Conclusion
From preparation to presentation to flavours to service, Life's Good Kitchen gets full points from us. A must-try if you're looking for some great food to make you feel better.
