How To Order
Simply drop a WhatsApp message to 0779826110. We placed our order at around 1.00 PM, and received the goods by 5.00 PM on the same day, through PickMe Flash. We paid separately to the PickMe Flash rider (Rs. 191) and did a separate bank transfer to Adello with their payment (Rs. 1560). They also accept cash on delivery.
The Food
Our order included a Sprats & Peanuts Fry (Rs. 650), Dry Prawn Chilli Paste (Rs. 450) and Malay Pickle (Rs. 460).
Featuring lots and lots of peanuts and fried sprats, this baduma tasted quite good. It was generous with curry leaves too, and a dash of chilli flakes, which made the whole thing so wonderfully spicy. There was a teeny tiny burnt-like taste in the sprats, but it didn't really bother us, all thanks to the other flavours in the mix.
This one pairs up very nicely with some warm rice, bread and coconut rotis.
The Chilli Paste was quite rich with dried prawns, and had a bold spicy punch too. We tried it with fried rice, hoppers and coconut roti, and all of those combos tasted amazing. It also works well on local-style sandwiches. Slather up some butter on bread and toss in some chilli paste on it.
The Malay Pickle had this dominating tang, which sort of held back its sweet kick in some instances. Nonetheless, it can be used to improve your everyday rice & curry meal.
Conclusion
None of Adello's products are infused with preservatives, so their shelf life is about 1 month. Coupled with fair prices and the hassle-free ordering process, it's a good place to get your badum/achcharu fix from.
