Beemas is a supermarket on the third floor of the Kollupitiya Market building — it’s got a whole bunch of awesome imported quality goodies like Hershey’s syrup, Hag’s espresso, Hellman’s mayonnaise and a whole shelf full of fancy Italian biscuits. It’s neighbors with Branas which, like Beemas, also has imports from countries like Italy, Australia and the Emirates, although Beemas has a wider, more tempting variety.
The stuff is somewhat pricey but not really, considering the top-notch quality and the fact that you can’t get these products in other supermarkets. Here’s a glimpse into Beemas.
Conclusion
This place is obviously better than your average local supermarket. It’s an easily accessible one-stop-for-all of imports, and the prices aren’t ridiculously insane – a definite must-go on your next round of grocery shopping.
