Looking for some downtime?
Is it time to take a break off of work or even have a relaxing afternoon with your family or friends? Karak’s got you covered.
Based within the bustling streets of Colombo, Karak is a blessing in disguise for most looking to unwind after a hectic day.
We visited Karak during the afternoon hours on a Tuesday. You can easily find yourself gravitating towards the welcoming atmosphere Karak has to offer.
We were warmly welcomed and took a seat indoors which is right next to the Karak stand, afterwards we were presented the menu which might I say was quite ‘punny’ to go through.
The Beverages
We chose to taste every drink they had to offer as they had a range of choices that would suit most people’s taste.
We first tried the Zaff which had a hint of spices but was in no way overbearing. We were able to taste cardamon, cloves and a variety of spices that have been made from scratch.
Afterwards we tasted Karak which was a well balanced chai flavoured tea, if you are a chai fan this is the tea for you to go for!
The Serendib was strong and sweet, you can really feel the tea come through and personally as I love strong tea the Serendib placed high on my list of favourites.
Moo was sweet and milky just like the name of the tea suggests, any milk lover would absolutely enjoy the taste of this tea.
Finally the Blend was quite different from most tea we have tried before, it had mint which was visibly added on top of the tea and the best way to describe the Blend would be a tea Mojito! The minty plain tea really hits the spot after a long day.
Conclusion
Overall the experience at Karak was relaxing and different. If you are looking for a unique & refreshing cup of tea, drop by at Karak.
