Short eats in Battaramulla? Klassy’s is King.
We had some vegetable samosas, a hot dog, chicken patty and a bacon and egg pastry accompanied by a warm cup of Ceylon Tea. A hearty meal to begin the day.
The vegetable samosas (Rs. 55) are very good. They’re a tad oily but are definitely worth the extra calories. The only other place that really comes close in terms of the triangular treat is Raheemas on Thurstan Road.
One of the highlights at Klassy’s is their home made sauce – a treacly mix of sauteed onions and garlic, delicious when strewn across a hot dog. They also have their own twist on the chicken patty. It’s hard to describe what they’ve actually done so I recommend you try it for yourself. Other than the food the place is air conditioned and typically clean. The service is good and the bites are affordable.
