Ambience & Service
The rundown scruffy interior at first hides the treasures the nutshop hoards. You could classify the contents as treasure because a) The prices of these fatty crunches are pretty extortionate, but b) the jars store immense and colourful variety all over the tiny establishment.
The first impression is of a small space painted a rather garish green, the shelves and counters are arranged in a disordered manner and initially the shop seems oddly empty. Its only after you look a little closely that each new item pops out at you and the actual range of products is revealed. All of this was offset by the helpful man managing the shop, who assured me of the good quality of all the products. Nice guy.
What's In Store
The shop stands by its name and covers all the nuts you could possibly need: massive bags of almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts and pinenuts fill the counters.
But nuts arent the only treat in the Nut Shop, there is a huge range of seeds: flax, chia, pumpkin and sunflower, as well as a variety of dried fruit, different kinds of raisins, prunes, soft dates and goju berries.
The prices are on the expensive side, 500 grams of almonds stand at Rs. 1700 where as hazelnuts go upto Rs. 2400 for the same quantity. These prices are to be expected from imported goods shipped all the way from California, Iran and more, although it doesnt stop the heart palpitations especially if you are a voracious nut eater.
All in all its pretty convenient to be able to find this range of products in one neat (and central) little location.
