Sugar – Free Faluda
Off their beverages menu, we were greeted with a delightful recommendation to their Sugar-Free Faluda, a seasonal addition during the month of Ramadan. The staff offered us a unique and interactive experience by preparing this Sugar-Free Faluda right in front of us, showcasing the intricate ingredients such as Sugar-Free Ice Cream and Low fat milk mainly, the process of blending everything together, and the aesthetics that went into its creation.
As the trend towards healthier living continues to gain momentum, many of us seek out wholesome and nutritious dining options. Totally Hooked CMB introduces the Sugar-Free Faluda for the first time in Sri Lanka, providing guests with a guilt-free and health-conscious alternative that doesn’t sacrifice on taste. This unique beverage offers a delectable experience, arguably even better than traditional Faluda, while promoting a healthier and more holistic dining experience.

Strawberry Mojito
The April heat was no match for the refreshing perfection of Totally Hooked CMB’s Strawberry Mojito. A tantalizing blend of iced goodness that truly quenched our thirsts and left us feeling revived.
This Strawberry Mojito comes in a tall cup pitcher with a refreshing delicacy of ripe Strawberries, awakening every spot of our body with an electrifying taste. Need not say that this was one of our favorite tries while we await to try more refreshing options on the hook.

Boat-sized Basket of Chili Fries with Chicken
An absolute banger, the chili-fries soaked with minced chicken in their signature sweet & spicy sauce topped with Tartar sauce, served in a boat-shaped dish was bold and explosive in its own way. This explosive and flavorful dish packed a punch, and impressed us while making us eager for more and more.
We were swayed by how soaked the chili-fries were in the sweet & spicy minced chicken, which gave off a crunchy texture to the Fries with that extra spicy flavor balancing off a vibrant delicacy and added a sparkling kick. The tartar sauce was the cherry on top as it flavored a hint of sour giving off a taste of heaven. The portion can be shared among three people averagely, and was quite filling for a starter on hook.

Chili Lobster served with Mantou Buns
Totally Hooked CMB’s latest addition to their mains menu, the Chili Lobster served with 6 Mantou buns, is a mouth-watering Singaporean delicacy that has been recently introduced to the market. As a restaurant renowned for their Chili Crab and Chili Prawn dishes, the Chili Lobster has some big shoes to fill. Yet, it is living up to its high standard with ease.
The dining experience at Totally Hooked CMB is one worth every Rupee spent on the delicious and innovative dishes they serve. From the cuisine to the presentation, they go above and beyond to stand out. We loved the live preparation of the sugar-free Faluda by their skilled staff, and the Chili Lobster dish was presented to us in a unique way too. Although the dish was prepared in the kitchen, it was served to us in a sealed bag and carefully poured and plated by the staff, with fresh parsley and 6 fluffy Mantou buns, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The sweet & spicy sauce/gravy was so aromatic that we could not resist a second more without trying it with the fluffy Mantou buns. The lobster meat was tender and soft, but it was quite the task to dig in and peel the lobster to get to that meat.
We separately ordered a portion of Butter Rice, and a bite from this rice mixed with the sweet & spicy gravy of the Chili lobster dish took me down a nostalgic path of memories from childhood. I personally prefer the Chili Lobster dish with the butter rice rather than with Mantou buns as for me the sweet flavor from the gravy and the sweetness of Mantou buns override each other’s flavors, but the neutral flavor of butter rice with the spicy flavor of the Lobster gravy compliment each other very well.
The 6 Mantou Buns were fluffy & soft and had a precise taste of its own, as this Singaporean dish is authentically presented with these Mantou buns and at Totally Hooked CMB, authenticity of their dishes is their utmost priority.

Conclusion:
All the bites and sips we had at ‘Totally Hooked CMB’ screamed authenticity and served flavors, experience and memories we had not had from any other seafood restaurant before.
Unique in its own way, Totally Hooked CMB is one great restaurant of its own kind and we barely could find any negative experiences to add to this review, as we enjoyed every aspect of our visit here. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and the interior with bougie deco creating a chic and comfortable ambiance, was one for the highlights.
Overall, we highly recommend Totally Hooked CMB as one of the finest seafood restaurants in Colombo. It offers a sophisticated and authentic dining experience that is affordable for everyone. We even took some of their dishes back home to relive the memories.
