Vietnamese food has made its mark on the global culinary map with favourites such as Phở bò, Bún chả, Gỏi cuốn and Chè. Cinnamon Grand Colombo together with Chef Kiệt Trần presents a Pho-Nomenal Vietnamese Feast, that will include these delicacies and much more in a culinary exploration of the Asian nation. The specially curated buffet will be held from 8th to 10th September at the Courtyard, Cinnamon Grand Colombo from 7pm onwards.
Traditional Vietnamese cooking uses fresh ingredients likes vegetables and herbs, is lower on dairy and oil usage, and has interesting textures. The cuisine is also low in sugar and is almost always naturally gluten-free, as many of the dishes are rice-based instead of wheat-based, made with rice noodles, papers, and flour. Recipes use ingredients such as lemongrass, ginger, mint, Vietnamese mint, long coriander, Saigon cinnamon, bird’s eye chili, lime, and Thai basil leaves.
Chef Kiệt Trần is currently the Executive Chef of M Hotel Saigon and was formally the Executive Head Chef of Silverland Hotel & Spa, Executive Head Chef of Green Thousand Hands Restaurant & Spa, and Sous Chef A&EM Hotel.
