Project Coast 2.0, an ambitious beach cleanup project, recently took center stage, driven by the collaborative efforts of AIESEC in NSBM and AIESEC in NIBM. This eco-conscious endeavor was woven around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly focusing on the goals Thirteen (Climate Action) and Fourteen (Life Below Water).
At the heart of this noble initiative was a partnership with Altrium, a dynamic organization committed to environmental conservation. Altrium’s dedication and support played a pivotal role in ensuring the project’s success.
The shores of Welawatta Beach were the chosen battleground for Project Coast 2.0, where delegates gathered to take part in this significant environmental undertaking. With over 50 dedicated delegates, this project achieved remarkable success, contributing to the restoration and preservation of the coastal ecosystem.
Altrium, as the title partner, actively engaged in the cleanup, emphasizing their commitment to environmental sustainability.
This project not only rejuvenated Welawatta Beach but also served as an inspiring model for future endeavours.
