Saturday, September 26

Rock 'n' Bowl

Bowling and Rock 'N' Roll on a Saturday night — that's a pretty nice way to spend a weekend, in our book. The Past Pupil's Association of Bridget's Convent are going bowling and would like you to join them, if you are a current or past student.

UPDATE – This event has been postponed due to the weather.

The year is 1969. Location: Bethel New York. The loudspeakers are blaring and the grounds are covered with almost half a million people who have come to listen to the likes of Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, the Who, Janis Joplin and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Ravi Shankar and Santana — icons in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

Thala Suwathe–CCASL Annual Fundraiser

The Cancer Care Association of Sri Lanka (CCASL) is having their annual fundraiser, 'Thala Suwatha. The event will be held at the Bishop's College Auditorium on September 26 at 6.30 PM. There will be several performances, including traditional dancing, drumming and performing arts items by the renowned Ravibandu Samanthi Dance Academy.

TNL Onstage 2015 Finals Featuring Puddle of Mudd

The finale of TNL Onstage is just round the corner. Come September 26, you can not only find out who the winner is, but also treat yourself to some of the surprises that are in store for you.

Sound Of Hope

The Boys Industrial Home, an orphanage for boys, is hosting a fundraiser concert on September 26 at the British School Auditorium. Called 'Sound of Hope', the concert will feature numerous choirs, artists and bands. Some of the participating artists include bands such as Voice Print, The Saints, LG Singers; choirs including the British School Choir, Methodist College Choir and Revelations Academy's childrens choir; and singers such as Shayami and Chadash.

Sunday, September 27

Book Swap – Creators Edition

The book swappers are at it again. This month's edition is being hosted at one of our favourite nooks in Mount Lavinia, Charcoal Gallery Cafe. Being held on September 27 between 4 PM and 6 PM, this edition will start off with the usual agenda, which is to swap books. This time around, DVDs will also be added to the menu.
