PorKen Deli
PorKen Deli is the pork-hub in town. Based in Dehiwala, this home-cook gets quality cuts of pork, crafts up some incredible treats and delivers.
We highly recommend their Black Pork Curry, which is probably the best of that kind we've had, and you cannot go wrong with their Red Pork Curry too. Aside from pork, they also do a range of chicken and veg-based dishes, which are again, quite rich in flavour. Pairing up all these with their Poranu Roast Paan is the best combo that one could hope for.
Bro Pub & Restaurant
Bro Pub & Restaurant is a place for you and your bros. It's right next to the sailing restaurant in Colombo – the Garton's Ark. If you're looking for a place to blow off some steam this weekend with some good pub grub, accompanied by your favourite drink and a great view, this is the place to be.
Lansi's
Lansi's take on lamprais is easily one of the best in the city. Based in Mount Lavinia, their food is available for delivery and pickup.
Our favourite was the Authentic Lamprais, which was comprised of Suduru Samba cooked in chicken stock rice, a serving of a meat curry made with beef, chicken and pork, fried ash plantain curry, blanchan, two mixed meat cutlets, fried brinjal in mustard sauce and a dollop of seeni sambol. So many flavours and spices can be tasted here, and we're all for it!
AllStar Sports Lounge
An elegant addition to Colombo's sports bar scene, AllStar Sports Lounge doesn't serve alcoholic beverages at the moment, but you can BYOB here without a corkage fee. We absolutely enjoyed their food, especially the Slow Roasted Blue Pumpkin Soup with Roasted Nuts and the Grilled Seer Fish.
Seed Cafe
Done as the love child between the likes of The Grind and Ceylon Superfoods Company, Seed Cafe joined the cafe scene in Colombo not too long ago in the same place Cafe Kumbuk used to be. It's a place packed with so much cosiness, great food, and some of the best coffee in the city. A must-try if you want to relax, spend some quiet time and freshen up before Monday blues hit.
