Indulge Desserts Co.
Start your weekend in the sweetest way possible by paying a visit to Indulge Desserts Co. Their menu is consists of crepes, bubble waffles and shakes, and almost all of them are doused in a horde of chocolate. They do a mean Strawberry Cheesecake too.
Urban Elephants
If you're around Moratuwa, or have the will to travel there from wherever you are, Urban Elephants is a must try. Their speciality is Asian fusion, and they do a darn good job at that. On the other hand, they're super affordable. Our total bill came to Rs. 2300, and that includes everything on the above picture and a couple of fruit juices.
C2C
C2C, AKA Chennai Grandma's Kitchen is a new addition to Colombo's throng of Indian restaurants. Albeit on the pricy side, it's a spot that you can check out if you're around Wellawatte area. However, we found them to be a bit mild-flavoured than the other Indian food we've come across in the city.
Heladiv Tea Club (Kollupitiya)
Hailed for their fifty shades of tea, unique tea cocktails and delicious snacks, Heladive Tea Club recently opened their second branch down Bagatalle Road. It's just the cafe counterpart that they've brought here, so if you want some boozy tea concoctions, you still have to go to their Dutch Hospital branch. If you find yourself here this weekend, make sure to try HTC's Grilled Chicken Wrap – a giant roti, stuffed to the gills with grilled chicken, potato wedges, cheese, cucumber, onions, lettuce, and tomato.
Pastamania
It's been like a year since this Singaporean franchise restaurant opened its doors in Sri Lanka. Specialised in Italian fare, they have their ups and downs in terms of food and service, but we found a bunch of things that managed to impress us. This Pepperoni Pizza is one such example. A pile of pepperoni placed on top of a generous slathering of mozzarella, this pizza had a deliciously crispy crust. Their gelato offerings are dope too, and pasta isn't bad either.
