The YAMU magazine for July just went to the printers, it should be in the market by next week. For now at least, we’re offering free subscriptions. Just visit yamu.lk/subscribe to tell us where to send it.
This edition of the magazine is different because we’ve added a big A3 size Colombo map (vectorized and painfully hand-edited). Assuming the printer gets it right you should be able to fold out the centerspread into a map four times the size of the magazine. That section also includes a new and improve bus map, important phone numbers and, this month, a Ramadan calendar.
Why Free Subscriptions?
Why indeed. We may at some point charge for subscriptions, but for now it’s simpler to just give them free. We’ll put a limit on it, say for one year, but at the moment we’d just like the thing to be read. We break even on advertising now and I think we can continue to do so.
You can find the next issue in restaurants and coffee-shops around Colombo and in your mailbox, if you subscribe.
