Food
OMNI's menu is quite big, and features a variety of treats – Western, Chinese and Italian. We decided to grab a few dishes off the first two.
The Belly Pork In Mushroom Sauce (Rs. 800 for a small portion) was a good portion. Resting on a bed of bok choy, lied about 6-8 slices of fat, yet crispy fried belly pork, soaking up all the mushroom-y goodness of the sauce it had been drizzled with. There was a sprinkle of pepper, spicing things up, while the chunks of spongy mushroom adding an extra layer of flavour and texture to the dish.
We paired it up with some Steam Rice (Rs. 300). Fluffy and well-cooked, this small portion is easily enough for 2 people.
The Chicken Cordon Bleu (Rs. 850) was served with a side of boiled veggies, ketchup and French fries.
Light, thin and absolutely crispy, the batter coating on the chicken was lovely. Unfortunately, the meat itself was a bit rubbery, and we couldn't quite detect the ham counterpart of it.
The fries were crispy and the veggies were boiled well – no complaints there.
The butterscotch-like topping on the Cream Caramel (Rs. 350) was a bad move, as it completely shielded the flavours of the caramel. However, we managed to have a small bite of pudding that hadn't been touched by the topping. With just the right amount of sweetness, it was delicious, while the texture was wonderfully creamy.
Drinks

If I had to pick a favourite out of the two, I'd suggest going with the Chocolate Milkshake (Rs. 350). It's probably not the BEST milkshake you get in Colombo, but quite refreshing, nonetheless.
As for the Mango Juice (Rs. 380), it certainly can use a couple more Karthakolomban pieces in the mix, as this one tasted a tad watery.
Service & Ambience
It's a two-storied building. The ground floor is dedicated to the bakery items – short eats, cakes and bread, while the first floor accommodates the customers who come for the main menu. Air-conditioned and spacious, it suits well for couples and family-style dining.
The service was absolutely friendly and helpful. All the staff members were geared up with masks, maintained the 1m distance while taking our order and serving them to the table.
Conclusion
While they can improve on certain areas, OMNI is not a bad option to grab a meal, if you're in the neighbourhood.
